November – December
Early season

Peak season
School holidays drive crowds and prices up mid-month. Half-term weeks book out fast. Snow conditions usually excellent.
March
Spring conditions
Strongest sun of the season. Corn snow on south-facing slopes in the afternoon. High resorts still excellent. Often the most enjoyable month.
April
Late season
Lower resorts closing. Glacier areas (Tignes, Saas-Fee, Zermatt) reliable. Spring skiing — expect soft afternoon snow.
